While frequently space can be taken to mean some form of thc high, in this case it is just that. Space. Space to read, space for silence, space to write, space to collect unemployment insurance from the state of California, space to heal. And, my god, was this needed.

And with that having been said, welcome, welcome, welcome. To The Walk - a mixed bag from your jack of all trades, pan ellington. Where I’ll share with you, including, but not limited to*…

Things I find inspiring / interesting / or otherwise arty. Which today would be me awaiting the third episode of the PBS series on the history of hip-hop, “Fight the Power: How Hip-Hop Changed the World.” Chuck D of Public Enemy telling the story while putting it into the greater sociopolitical context. New episodes every Tuesday & you can watch for free at that link. Yo.

Reads. For February I’m reading for Black history month. Here are a couple from last month.

She Said - the inside story of the journalism behind the New York Times sexual harassment coverage. Just incredible.

The Beatles - they’re a favorite, so I found it fascinating. Still, though, tl;dr - the author reads like a total fanboy for Paul *the real genius*, John the heel who contributed little, and, of course, Yoko’s the villian. There’s gotta be a better one than this, right?

Works in progress…

untitled late capitalism piece.

& “All Apologies: The Beginning of the End in the 1990s,” my second novel & magnum opus. The first chapter will give you an idea of where I’m going with it. Feels good to be back in THEE flow after such a long span of starts and stops and frustration.

The rest, I’m certain, will shake out as it comes. Thank you for joining me.
